Aion: The Tower věčnosti is a new MMO from publisher NCSoft. Although it’s been playable in Asia for several years, the game won’t go live in the West until the end of September. With the closed beta ended, and with an open beta week towards the end, there’sa quick look at some of the features we expect to start.
The key to the release of Aion’here is 1.5 patch. It offers key features that are very important for the movement for Aion’s roots in Korea and China. Westernised faces for avatars, Western references to quests and missions are of course crucial for Aion to succeed in the new territory. What’s really useful are the new video tutorials. Instead of mass text explaining what’s going on when you encounter something new, rapid and video will make you an explanation. These video tips show all the way up to level 20, and it’sa nice feature to move away from the text boxes so prevalent in other MMOs.
After the initial character creation, 1.5 patch brings you a series of short prologue video. Like other titles NCSoft, Aion has a strong story, and this video prologues – as well as standard video sequences throughout the game – to build on the story, and help re-inforce your character’s importance and play the game Aion universe.
One of the key features I’m going to As the flight. All the characters have wings that can be used to fly around the world. As is evident from the packed and over-subscribed beta version I’m going to was highly anticipated players. Packed with interesting new features, as typically a strong story and great graphics, Aion promises to be another huge success for MMOs NCSoft.
